After installing a recent Outlook update, my mailbox layout changed unexpectedly. Folder order looked different, message grouping stopped working, and some view settings seemed completely reset. At first, I thought the update had introduced a new interface.
After researching the issue, I found that Outlook view configurations can occasionally become corrupted or overwritten. The quickest solution was to Reset Outlook View to Default, which restored the standard arrangement for my folders and messages. The difference was immediate, and Outlook became much easier to use again.
I also noticed many users mentioning PST-related issues when Outlook behaves strangely. While reading through various solutions, I found information about the DRS Softech PST Recovery Tool, which can repair damaged PST files and recover mailbox content if Outlook data corruption is involved.
For anyone who recently experienced similar issues, did resetting the Outlook view solve everything, or did you have to create a new profile or repair the PST file as well? I'd love to hear some real-world experiences before making additional changes.
