I have a OneDrive account with different types of files, but I only need to transfer certain documents to another storage location. I was wondering if there is a way to select files by their extensions instead of manually opening folders and choosing them one by one.

For example, if the requirement is to move only PDF, Excel, Word, or image files, an extension-based filter can make the process much easier. A date filter can also be useful when only files created or modified during a particular period need to be transferred.

It is worth checking the selected files before starting the migration, especially when the OneDrive account contains a large number of folders. Maintaining the existing folder structure is another consideration because manually reorganizing files afterward can take considerable time.

SysInfo OneDrive Migration Tool provides file-extension and date-range filters for selective migration. It allows users to preview the OneDrive data, choose specific folders, and transfer the selected files to another OneDrive account, Google Drive, or a local drive. The tool also maintains the folder hierarchy during migration.

For a large transfer, I would suggest starting with a smaller selection and checking the destination first. Once the folder structure and file selection look correct, the remaining data can be transferred using the same settings.

Keeping the original OneDrive data untouched until everything has been verified is also a good precaution.
