I’ve found that the easiest way to handle an incremental mailbox migration is to break it into smaller batches instead of trying to move everything in one go.
I usually start by migrating the older or less active mailbox data first, then run another incremental pass to pick up emails that arrived or changed after the initial migration. Before the final cutover, I also check folder structure, attachments, and a sample of important emails to make sure everything transferred correctly.
This approach helped me reduce downtime because users could continue working while the initial migration was running. The final sync was much smaller, so the actual cutover was easier to manage.
