I am facing a serious performance issue with Outlook on my Windows 10 system. My primary PST file has grown close to 20GB, and now Outlook has become extremely slow it taking time to open, search emails, and even switching between folders feels laggy. Sometimes Outlook freezes for a few seconds. I want to understand why Outlook slows down when the PST file reaches this size. Is it because of indexing, corruption risk, or something else? Also, what are the most effective methods to fix this issue?

When an Outlook PST file reaches 20GB or more, Outlook begins to slow down. This is primarily due to the size of the PST file and Outlook's repeated loading of large amounts of data. Softaken Compress PST Software is a highly reliable solution. This tool reduces the size of your PST file without any data loss and instantly improves Outlook's performance. I've used this software myself, and it easily compresses attachments, removes duplicate items, & safely shrinks your PST. Its interface is very user-friendly & doesn't require any technical skills. If your PST file has grown to 10GB, 20GB, or more, Compress PST Software is a good choice. This software speeds up Outlook, saves storage space, & reduces the risk of PST corruption.
