Most conversion issues come from the Excel file itself. Missing or unclear column headers make it hard to identify contact fields. Phone numbers saved as numeric values often lose leading zeros or country codes. Mixing multiple values in a single cell creates confusion, and special characters may break if encoding isn’t handled properly.

When using a Softaken Excel to vCard Converter, these issues show up during the mapping stage. Cleaning the sheet beforehand — clear headers, one value per column, text-formatted phone numbers — greatly improves accuracy and prevents broken contacts.
